Commodity Champions: Experts discuss road ahead for gold prices

Gold prices plunged to a three week low and posted its first monthly loss since October last year.

On the other hand the US dollar is about to hit a six week high, posting its best monthly gain since November 2016. This is after the Fed Chairman Jerome Powell hinted at four interest rate hikes this year.

Strong US dollar impacted the commodity markets, while crude oil prices have declined by 6 percent, metals like copper aluminum and zinc fell between 3 to 4 percent on a month-on-month basis.
